May 2: Around the block by the hotel in VA - before the conference
It's a good thing I decided to run early. Turns out LanNa was at the conference and we decided to go visit Shelly in VA Monday night. I got a hotel room in DC for Monday night and off we went - got back at 2 am.
May 3: Around the block in DC - ending at a Starbucks
Time: at least 10 minutes (3+ songs)
Then I did a little more of the conference on Tuesday, had drinks with Genevieve before leaving DC, and drove til I got tired. Ended up in Southern NJ. Got a hotel and went to sleep. Got up in the morning and started the drive home. Which worked for about a mile - til I hit a curb real damn good. Brought the car to the shop in NJ and got new tires, front end alignment, something else...all to the tune of $800. Then I finished my drive home.
May 4: Around the block in Brooklyn
So my "vacation funds" have now been spent on my car. Which means I'm in Brooklyn for the next 4 days. And one thing on the list is to make a budget. Not fun. :(

- I started this blog as a fourth year resident in 2009 when we decided to do streak running. Since then, life has taken many turns. I went to Montana as a solo practice OB/Gyn starting in Sept 2009. I came back in January 2010 when my dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and had bypass surgery. I returned to Stony Brook as an attending for a short time and then I started my gyn onc fellowship in July 2010 in Brooklyn for another three years of training. The fellowship ended in June of 2013 and I headed back to Montana in August. I love my job, I love my runs, and I'm enjoying my life. Let's start Year 6!
