Yesterday was the 10K I've been training for. The week leading up to it included:
Oct 8: 1 mile before karate
Oct 9: 1 mile before karate with Marco
Oct 10: 1 mile ATB
Oct 11: 1 mile ATB
Oct 12: 1 mile ATB in the AM
Then it was dinner and sleepover with Diana since the race started at 7:30.
Oct 13: 10K in 58:22
Mile 1: 8:51 (uphill, too fast)
Mile 2: 9:33
Mile 3: 9:08
Mile 4: 9:46
Mile 5: 9:56 (up the hill again, hurting)
Mile 6: 9:30 (not bad since I was dying)
Mile 6.2: 1:35
Place: 179/627 in age group
Oct 14: 1 mile in Prospect Park
I think I'm going to like these 8K coming up. It may be a good distance for me. I'd like to get back to 13.1 though.
