So last weekend was my weekend off...except it felt like a weekend on since I was on the phone with residents and fellows all night Friday, all day Saturday and early Sunday morning. And then I had to take call this weekend because the first year fellow couldn't do two weekends in a row. So I'm on now. But hell, I make the plan so it's fine with me.

So tomorrow I'm going to try to round "quick" - discharge some people home to essentially leave me with 2 patients on each side. Then I'm going to enjoy the day and plan to spend the rainy Sunday working on research projects, hopefully finishing all 3 abstracts to submit.

- I started this blog as a fourth year resident in 2009 when we decided to do streak running. Since then, life has taken many turns. I went to Montana as a solo practice OB/Gyn starting in Sept 2009. I came back in January 2010 when my dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and had bypass surgery. I returned to Stony Brook as an attending for a short time and then I started my gyn onc fellowship in July 2010 in Brooklyn for another three years of training. The fellowship ended in June of 2013 and I headed back to Montana in August. I love my job, I love my runs, and I'm enjoying my life. Let's start Year 6!
