Memorial Day in Prospect Park

May 28: 2+ miles around the park

I ran for most and then walked the last mile or so. It's hot today but beautiful out - the first day (and last day) of u vacation not screwed up by rain.

Not looking forward to taking call starting tonight. But it's just two weeks. My last 2 weeks on service and then it's really off to the lab.

Clouds and Rain

I'm beginning to think that's the theme of my vacation. Today was cloudy and then at 6 pm, torrential downpour. So I ran at 9.

May 26: ATB - you could almost see te steam coming up from the sidewalk.

Tomorrow, off to see my godson and crew.

Bermuda

Well, it was beautiful in NJ. And then we met Tropical Storm Alberto in Bermuda.

Three more days of vacation! Going to visit Scott and Leigh Sun/Mon. And then I've got my last 2 weeks of call.

1/13.1 of the Brooklyn Half

This morning, when I decided I wanted coffee, I realized that mile 7 of the Brooklyn Half was right out my door. So I cheered for an hour or so til the park cleared up and then I did my own run...but just a mile.

May 19: 1 mile Prospect Park

Now it's time to shower, hit up b&n for some books and then head to the ferry terminal. It's a beautiful day!

Ahhhhh...

Big sigh of relief. All of the presentations over the last 2 1/2 weeks are done and vacation is here!
May 16: Prospect Park 1 mile - did some pick ups between the trees in the first half of the run

Now I'm off to a pedicure and dinner with Tana. I way overpacked for the cruise, but I don't care. Tomorrow I'll hit up b&n for some books and then it's off to Bermuda!

Misstep

So I was doing my run tonight and thinking about how I love my routine late night "around the block" mile. I feel like I know every step of the ground and never take a misstep...
And then I ran around the corner and twisted my ankle.

Sigh.

Here for ACOG. Went to Old Town last night for Cinco de Mayo. Today it's the zoo. Tomorrow, well, I guess I'll go to the conference.

Presentation in Denver went well, would love to have the opportunity to do it again. Jet lag today is killing me though.
