Wish I could say my day's run was something special.

Sept 26: Around the block (Day 999)
Sept 27: Around the block (Day 1000)

Just another loop around the block and back.

One thousand days. At least 1,000 miles. Damn.

Vacation

So sad when vacation's over.

Sept 14: Around the block

And then, vacation began!

Sept 17: Prospect Park 1 mile - then drove to CT

Off to Misquamicut Sunday morning...not quite a beach day...

Sept 18: Pleasant View to State Beach on the road and back on the beach
Sept 19: Same
Sept 20: Ran around the streets of Misquamicut
Sept 21: Ran to State Beach and back on the beach both ways

Then it was off to Providence Wednesday night for dinner with Kim & Lauren.

Sept 22: Providence run by the water from the hotel

Then off to Boston to see Lorna (Thursday) and Kristen (Friday).

Sept 23: Boston run around by the hotel

Then back to CT and finally back to Brooklyn on Saturday!

Sept 25: Prospect Park 1 mile

Don't really want to go back to work tomorrow but at the same time, looking forward to schedules and operating and fun again. Only 643 days to go!

Today I run with a little bit of a heavy heart. Found out this morning that one of the midwives at Stony Brook died suddenly. Not quite sure why it makes me pause so much, but it has. I really need to recharge my batteries. This vacation can't get here soon enough!

Hard to believe that it's been 10 years since I was in a lecture hall at NYMC learning about hematology and the next moment, I was watching the World Trade Center collapsing to the ground. Going to see the Tribute in Light tonight - the last time it will be shown. Found a great place to view it last night here in Brooklyn.
