So Much Better...

69 degrees and light rain for my run.

Still sweating, but so much nicer of a run than the runs of the last week.

It's been really friggin' hot. I felt like I was drinking the air on Friday night. Saturday I spent the day finishing reading 'Emperor of All Maladies' staying in my air conditioned apartment up until I had to go run. Then today, I finally cleaned the apartment, did laundry, dishes and all that stuff. Attempted to go work in a coffeeshop but with only minimal productivity. Now I'm reading 'The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks' ~ I'm counting these as educational reading for the weekend.

Hopefully, this heatwave is almost over.

It's waaay too damn hot.

So hot that I carried $2.25 with me for an icee after my run and a felt so nauseous that I didn't even bother ordering one. And I didn't run fast AT ALL.

Last night, had to go in at 2:30 am. Got back home at 3:45, fell asleep at 4:20, alarm went off at 4:30. Sleep deprived me is not happy me. Just gotta get through tomorrow and it's the weekend...

First Day of Second Year of Fellowship

So I've got a new first year fellow. So I tried to do everything to get him oriented today - tried to get a Kings County ID, tried to get computer access, tried to get the GME number. No luck anywhere. The only thing he accomplished was getting his car when it got delivered. But we did leave by 5 pm...
