Long Obnoxious Week

Oh, I'm so glad this week is almost over...

Managed to run after one rainstorm and before another. That's been the highlight of my week so far. :)

Tomorrow is April 1st. Tomorrow is day 820. 820 days of running every day and 820 days left of fellowship.

So today, when I finally woke up around 10:30, I found Mr. Holland's Opus on TV. And then, after that trip down memory lane, I did my run. Now I'm cooling off and going out to LI to hang out with Loren. It's a memory lane kinda weekend!

So I think scrubbing is going to hurt tomorrow given the spill I took running tonight and the scrapes on my hands...

Tripped on the sidewalk, fell with my hands bracing me on my palms and right forearm. Right palm torn to shreds, left seems okay, right elbow all scraped up too.

It did get up to 70 on Thursday, but it's back down to 41 tonight when I did my run. Not so happy to be back at work, but whaddygonnado? I just have to get through it. As Michael said, "NO QUITTING ALLOWED!"

Bumped

So I took the "bump" yesterday on Southwest because they were oversold. Got to stay in San Antonio for an extra day - got $300 plus flight reimbursement, a hotel for the night, and a $5 coupon for airport food.

What I didn't get was my bags, which arrived in NY ahead of me. So I found a Sports Authority last night and bought a pair of shorts, sports bra, and a t-shirt so I could run this morning. I figured I'd run in flip flops before...

So I lost the hour already this morning. And I lose another hour going back to the East Coast. But I've got my last book to read and am trying to get excited about going home.

It seemed a little chilly this morning, so I can on the treadmill again. I've managed to go an entire week without my inhaler - though I have had my asthmatic cough and am wheezing off and on. Looking forward to a puff tonight and a good night's sleep after my flight home.

So Sat morning, I left for CT; went to Foxwoods to celebrate Kev's 30th. Then had a car take me to the airport really early in the morning Sunday. Flew to Florida and went straight to the conference. Then out til midnight-ish. The up for conference, run, and out til 3 am. Then up for conference, some pool time and a run, out with Tana, and then up early to fly to San Antonio. A run, the conference, out to dinner, back to hotel around midnight. Back to the conference, run, out with Heather, back to hotel around 2 am. Slept in this morning, ran, and now it's back to the conference.

Restful? Notsomuch. Fun? Definitely.

C'mon SGO

Oh, I can't wait. Mainly because I just want a break for a bit. Even if it's a week of conferences, I want some sun and fun.
