By the Bay

So GOG is mostly done. There's an operations meeting in the morning that I guess I could go to. I ditched the Protocol Development meeting tonight because I was tired. First, I took a nap by the pool at the Hyatt.

Overall, I think GOG's been interesting. I definitely learned alot and have some ideas about things to do. Now I'm going to enjoy vacation for a little bit before starting to work on work stuff.

Ahhhhh.....

There is no snow here. It was in the 70s today. I saw the sun, and I felt warm.

Got 3 hours of sleep before the plane ride. And now I'm here. Teasing a certain boy back home about it as well.

Today was actually awesome. Got here around noon, met a very friendly woman named Rita who's a few years younger - had lunch and drinks with her, sat by the pool, then went to get pedicures. Then I did my run.

One Year Ago Today

My dad had his surgery - CABG x 5, MVR. Today, he's helping my brother tear down his kitchen and rebuild it. Back to work full time in construction. Ejection fraction last year 40%, looking forward to seeing what this year's will be.

And I've kept running.

Lacking

Today I appear to be lacking in motivation, lacking in desire, lacking in pretty much anything that I need to go in, round, and finish grand rounds. Guess I did get my run in, so that's something.

A Long Week

Wow, that last week was a long week. Glad it's done and I'm definitely looking forward to GOG and vacation in 2 weeks.

Went home to CT on Saturday to celebrate Mom's birthday. We went out to dinner and then when we got home, I got ready to go out to run. My dad got a little nervous given the late hour and slippery conditions. My mom replied that I did this all the time last year, he just wasn't there for it. I would go to the hospital all day, come home late at night and then head out to run.

Glad my dad is doing as awesome as he is!

Long Day, Long Week

Get through this week, just get through this week...

Today was a good OR day. Economos didn't even scrub the whole day and I took Shaun through a TLH with intracorporeal knots. Happy happy. But then the routine shit of
Downstate gets in the way.

Productive Day #2

Going to try to be as productive today as I was yesterday. Spent a good chunk of the afternoon at the office doing things, organizing things, and figuring out things. Today I'd like to continue the trend.

Laptop's Back!

Dell really has a problem with these stupid chargers...had to get one for this laptop, which is a familiar refrain, because once before I had to do the same thing for my old laptop.

But my laptop is back, which now means I'm no longer able to use the excuse that I can't work at home anymore.

The running continues. Ipod free for the new year, because I haven't been able to charge my ipod because the laptop hasn't been able to be charged. Maybe won't charge it anytime soon. We shall see.

Ahh...a new year.

My third year, to be exact.

Jan 3: Up to 11th and back at night.

Wow. 300 posts. 3 years, 3 days. 733 days total.

Now, if only the rest of fellowship can go this quickly.
